Appalachia Service Project (ASP) the organization
Visit the Appalachia Service Project web site to learn more about ASP.
ASP is an adult/youth hands-on mission trip where the volunteers repair homes for low-income families in the rural central Appalachia area of the United States. The goal is to make the homes safer, dryer and warmer.
Since 1982, Anderson Hills UMC has sent nearly 1000 volunteers to central appalachia with ASP for 31 of the past 32 years. This past summer was the 31st year of participation. Read more about AHUMC's involvement with ASP during the summer of 2012.
